The Richard Glaesser company is located in Seiffen in the heart of the Erzgebirge in the former East Germany. This picturesque area is known for its handmade wooden toys, pyramids and other collectibles. The company celebrated 70 years in business in 2002.
The founder of the company passed away in 1987, but the tone and standards for quality that Richard Glaesser set so

years
ago
continue
today.

 The Steinbach company is the world’s oldest and largest manufacturer of nutcrackers.
When you think nutcracker, the name "Steinbach" naturally springs to mind. The line also includes smokers, music boxes and ornaments. The company has two manufacturing plants. One is in Hohenhameln in Lower Saxony. The other is also in the Erzgebirge region in Marienberg. Reunification allowed Herr Christian Steinbach to return to his roots and open a factory in the area where he grew up. Herr Steinbach and his daughter Karla lead the family operation
